Step One: BRIK & PEARL® Bond Flex Restructures the Hair

The first stage of the system, BRIK & PEARL® Bond Flex, is responsible for restructuring the hair.

Its hybrid dual-reduction technology combines Ammonium Thioglycolate (ATG) and Cysteamine HCl to temporarily modify disulfide bonds within the hair fibre. Once those bonds have been modified, lashes or brows can be reshaped into their desired position.

Why combine the two?

ATG provides efficient reducing action, while Cysteamine HCl offers flexibility and broader processing control. The pairing was designed to give professionals greater ability to customize their approach depending on the hair and technique in front of them.

Bond Flex’s controlled viscosity also allows for precise placement, an increasingly important consideration as artists move between traditional, freestyle, glueless, and approved Korean-inspired lash lift techniques.

Supporting the Hair During Chemical Processing

BRIK & PEARL® also addresses another increasingly important industry conversation: what happens to the hair while we are busy making it look fabulous?

Bond Flex contains KeraVeg-18, a plant-derived protein and amino acid complex developed for chemically treated hair. According to supplier testing cited by the brand, KeraVeg-18 demonstrated an improvement in the strength of chemically treated hair of up to 21%.

It reflects a broader shift happening across professional aesthetics. Results still matter, obviously, but professionals are paying closer attention to how treatments affect the underlying structure they are manipulating.

Step Two: Bond Lock Sets the New Shape

Once the hair has been restructured, BRIK & PEARL® Bond Lock moves the treatment into its stabilizing and setting phase.

The hydrogen peroxide-based neutralizing system supports controlled oxidation and the reformation of disulfide bonds, helping stabilize the lashes or brows into their newly created shape.

Used together, Bond Flex and Bond Lock allow the professional to move methodically through reduction and oxidation while adjusting the service for different hair types and treatment approaches.

But BRIK & PEARL® adds another step to the process that makes the system particularly interesting.

Meet LASH LIFE™ Volume Filler

LASH LIFE™ Volume Filler is designed to do significantly more than show up at the end of the appointment wearing a “conditioning treatment” name tag.

The peptide-rich, hydration-focused formula can perform multiple functions during the BRIK & PEARL® service.

It can first be incorporated as a Step 1.5 treatment, helping remove residual Step 1 product, supporting pH rebalancing and preparing the hair for Step 2.

It can also be incorporated into approved Monofusion™ techniques and then used again at the end of the service as a leave-on finishing filler.

Peptides, Proteins + Hydration Enter the Lash Conversation

The LASH LIFE™ formulation includes a combination of cosmetic peptides, biomimetic proteins, botanical extracts, humectants and conditioning ingredients.

Among them are Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1, SH-Oligopeptides, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-3, Panthenol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Trehalose and Glycerin.

As the final leave-on step, the formula is designed to condition and soften lashes and brows, support flexibility and add instant visible volume.
